Swan Ball Auction 2019 is pleased to offer a Lee Baskerville head and shoulders portrait, executed in oil on Belgian linen. Lee Baskerville works from his elegant Georgian horse farm and studio outside of Richmond, VA, overlooking the James River where many of his sittings take place. He has painted several portraits in Nashville and the surrounding area over the years, including the official 2013 Iroquois Steeplechase imagery. He has been painting full- time for over 25 years and has an active interest in historic and contemporary architecture, art and design, having personally restored several registered landmark properties over the years. He travels nationally and internationally for work, and is an avid outdoorsman, equestrian, and skier, with a keen interest in the conservation and preservation of the natural world from which he draws the bulk of his inspiration. His latest personal project will be the restoration of an historic private game reserve and lodge in a remote region of Southern Africa where his visions for art, lifestyle, design, architecture, and the natural world will be fused into one in one of the wildest locations left on earth.

Although the offering is unframed, the artist will be able to help select a perfect museum quality frame for your portrait from his own matching custom frame designs at winner’s expense.
