His trademark, some might say, is the elegance of simplicity. Known in Nashville for a huge array of dazzling events and gorgeous floral design, Joe Smith is this years Swan Ball designer.
Considered to be the floral industry’s leading communicator, Joe has been in the flower business for more than 30 years. He has addressed students and gardening groups in at least ten states, and has presented floral design programs in San Francisco, New York, Connecticut, Florida and Alabama.
Ilex….for Flowers is Joe’s current project – a floral design store in Nashville, where he meets the demand for high-end floral needs. He has served as Creative Director for the Dole Corporation, a major flower importer, where his creative booth designs won awards in four countries.
Joe also served as a designer and judge in the International Floral Design Competition in New Zealand. He presented the “Living Art of Floral Design” programs at the Bass and Viscaya Art Museums in Miami, FL, the Atlanta Historical Society and at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. |
